Ondo State Explores Strategic International Cooperation

The Ondo State Government has entered into a strategic partnership with the Czech Republic to promote sustainable economic development, enhance technological transfer, and strengthen international cooperation.

 

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa received the Czech Ambassador to Nigeria, Zdenek Krejci, in Akure on Tuesday. During the diplomatic visit, both parties expressed strong interest in fostering investment-driven relationships that could unlock the vast economic potential of Ondo State.

 

Aiyedatiwa Reaffirms Ondo’s Readiness for Global Investors

 

Speaking during the meeting, Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated his administration’s commitment to building a business-friendly environment for investors. He emphasized the importance of political stability and legal support for investment.

 

> “We are committed to providing a stable political environment and a legal system that supports business and investments. Our arms are wide open to investors, both local and international,” he stated.

 

 

The governor also noted that his government is focused on attracting investors in sectors like technology, agriculture, energy, and manufacturing.

 

Czech Republic Seeks Development Partnership in Key Sectors

 

Ambassador Zdenek Krejci highlighted the Czech Republic’s rich industrial heritage dating back to the 19th century. He pointed out that the country excels in machinery, especially for agricultural purposes, and has deep experience in renewable energy and construction technologies.

 

> “We are keen on contributing to Nigeria’s development, and Ondo State stands out because of its resources and political will. We believe this partnership will yield mutual benefits,” he said.

 

 

Krejci affirmed the Czech Republic’s interest in helping Ondo State access cutting-edge agricultural equipment and sustainable energy solutions.

 

A Future of Collaboration and Innovation

 

Both leaders expressed confidence that the collaboration will serve as a model for effective foreign partnerships at the state level in Nigeria. This development is expected to attract more foreign investment and technical support, especially in agriculture, renewable energy, and infrastructure.
